Timizar Silver Festival Returns to Tiznit for Its 13th Edition
Tiznit – From July 15 to 20, the city of Tiznit is hosting the 13th edition of the “Timizart Silver Festival,” under the theme: “Silver Craftsmanship… Identity, Creativity, and Development.”
This prestigious annual cultural event, organized by the Timizart Silver Festival Association under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, celebrates the art of silver craftsmanship and showcases the richness of Morocco’s artisanal and cultural heritage — particularly in the Souss region of central Morocco.
According to a press release from the organizers, the festival serves as a platform to enhance the cultural and tourism dynamism of the city and to highlight the importance of traditional craftsmanship as a key driver of economic and social development. Silverwork, a hallmark of the region, represents a deeply rooted aspect of its identity.

A Diverse and Enriching Program
This year’s edition features a rich lineup of activities, including
Exhibitions of traditional silver craftsmanship
Scientific seminars on the future of artisanal trades and innovation
Hands-on training workshops for young artisans
Major musical concerts and artistic performances that light up Tiznit’s nights and enhance its cultural appeal
The organizers also announced the participation of prominent national and international figures, underscoring the growing international dimension of the festival and its rising status both nationally and globally.

Additionally, this 13th edition will welcome a significant number of exhibitors from various countries, fostering exchange of expertise and encouraging creativity in the field of traditional industries.
It is worth noting that the festival is held with the support of the Ministry of Interior, and in partnership with the Timizart Silver Festival Association, the State Secretariat in charge of Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, the Tiznit Municipality, the Tiznit Provincial Council, and Maison de l’Artisan.
